Keep pedestrians safe on local roads with our collection of R3 road signs and flags
R3 pedestrian signs are crucial for protecting pedestrians and ensuring road users are aware of pedestrian activity in the area, instructing them to slow down to a stop to let pedestrians cross the road safely. These signs are often displayed in areas with high pedestrian activity, like near shopping centres, schools, and busy streets in towns or cities.

What is included in the R3 series?
R3 road signs increase visibility, remind drivers to yield to pedestrians, and create a safer environment near schools and high pedestrian areas. By promoting adherence to traffic laws and fostering community awareness of road safety, these signs contribute to reduced accidents and a more secure community environment.
The R3 series includes:
Children Crossing Flags — Children Crossing Flags are not standard road signs but are essential safety measures. These flags are used at crosswalks near schools or areas with high child pedestrian activity. They consist of brightly coloured flags mounted on a post or standing on each side of the crossing.
When a pedestrian, especially a child, intends to cross the road, a “Lollipop Man/Lady” can grab the flag and hold it aloft while the child is crossing. This action increases visibility to drivers, making it safer for children to cross the street.
Pedestrian Crossing Signs — Pedestrian Crossing Signs are standard road signs used to indicate the presence of a crosswalk or pedestrian crossing zone. These signs feature a symbol of a person walking and are often accompanied by additional signage or markings on the road. They warn drivers to be cautious and yield the right of way to pedestrians in the designated area, promoting pedestrian safety.
Stop: Children Crossing Signs — These signs combine the standard "Stop" sign with a specific message, "Children Crossing," to emphasise the need for drivers to come to a complete stop when children are crossing the road. They are commonly placed near school zones or areas with a high concentration of child pedestrians.
When this sign is displayed, drivers must stop and allow children to safely cross the road before proceeding, prioritising the safety of young pedestrians.
Our signs are between Class 400 and Class 1100 Reflective and are made with tough materials for long-lasting quality. Plus, we offer signage in various sizes to ensure drivers can see and understand pedestrian signs, regardless of area or conditions.
