In high-traffic areas, low-visibility areas, and adverse water conditions, a safe speed can range from 4 to 15 knots (e.g. the Sydney Harbour Bridge Transit Zone has a 15-knot speed limit). • Boat Ramp Signs — These signs provide boaters with essential information about the area, like channel and water conditions, the enforced speed limit, emergency radio channels, maps, and safety reminders like “wear a lifejacket”.
